How Personal Fitness Training Helped Me

Not feeling well and falling ill frequently was not only disrupting my social life, but was also draining me. Then my doctor advised me to start with some physical activity. This according to him would be beneficial for my health and social life too. Even I was happy with the idea. I gave dance and gym a shot but neither of these held my interest for very long. I was back to the confines of my room and was in poor health. Then, a friend of mine suggested I hire a personal trainer. I was not too convinced with the idea but when I discovered that a personal fitness trainer could incorporate boxing into the workout program, I became immediately interested.

With the huge number of personal trainers in NYC, choosing a trainer for fitness and boxing workouts was not very easy. I was looking for a well qualified, experienced trainer. I wanted my trainer to be organized and patient with me. Also, it was essential that the trainer should be motivating and persistent as I was never too good with keeping up resolutions. An ideal trainer is the one who becomes a role model. He should be able to analyze the problems of each client and work out a specific exercise schedule.

After a long search, I found Mark Darco, a certified personal trainer and boxing instructor in NYC with over 14 years experience. Hiring him was probably the best decision that I made, not only for my health but for my over all personality. Mark would say,”Exercise shouldn’t just be about vanity. Of course, we all want to look our best, but it’s about maintaining our quality of life, feeling strong and confident enough to do the things we want to do and not let the aging process slow us down”. This encouraged me the most to be absolutely strict with my exercise regimen. But it was the boxing training with Mark that brought the most positive change in me. Not only did Mark possess all the qualities of a personal trainer that were essential to me, but he is very knowledgeable also and gave me the best and the most beneficial exercise programs.
